New Delhi: JBM Ecolife Mobility Pvt ltd., a subsidiary of JBM Auto Limited, has secured an order for 1021 electric buses under the Government of India’s PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme-2 initiative. The total order valued at approximately Rs 5,500 crore, reinforces JBM’s leadership in the electric mobility space and aligns with India’s vision for a cleaner and more sustainable public transport ecosystem. These buses will be deployed in the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Haryana.
Under this tender, JBM Ecolife Mobility will be responsible for the end-to-end execution. The project will be supported by a Payment Security Mechanism (PSM), ensuring timely payments to electric bus operators and enhancing financial sustainability for industry stakeholders. These e-buses will clock over 32 bn+ passengers e-kms and will save over 1 bn+ CO2 emissions over 12 years of deployment.

This year marks a decade of JBM Auto’s presence in the public mobility segment. Over the next 3-4 years, the company envisions serving over 20 billion passengers and covering 3 billion e-kilometres, ensuring safe, reliable, and memorable travel experiences.
JBM Auto has already deployed around 2,000 electric buses across various geographies, including India, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. With this order, the company’s robust order book now stands at 11,000+ electric buses in various stages of execution, the company continues to expand its global footprint. Additionally, JBM has established the world’s largest dedicated integrated electric bus manufacturing facility (outside China), located in the Delhi-NCR region, with an annual production capacity of 20,000 electric buses.
This new order under the PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme-2 reaffirms JBM’s commitment to driving the future of electric mobility and contributing to India’s vision of a sustainable and eco-friendly public transportation ecosystem.
