ICAT organises seventh edition of “International Symposium on lighting

New Delhi: The 7th edition of “International Symposium on lighting (ISoL-2023)” was organized by International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT). With participation of over 700 professionals, the ISoL-2023 was inaugurated in the presence of senior officials from Government, Industry leaders from Automotive OEMs, Lamp manufacturers, suppliers and eminent personalities from academia.

Director of ICAT, Mr. Saurabh Dalela, in his inaugural address, apprised the audience on the latest developments in automotive lighting technology, highlighted the involvement of ICAT in R&D of cutting edge intelligent lighting technology. He emphasized ICAT’s readiness to support OEMs and lighting component suppliers for their product development and certification needs. The inaugural session of the event was graced by  Industry Leaders Mr Shigeo Yamagishi of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Mr Deepak Jain, CMD Lumax, Dr J K Jain, CMD Fiem Industries and Mr Christoph, Hella Germany.

High ranking officials from automotive OEMs including Maruti Suzuki, tata motors, hero motor corp, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki 2w, Ashok Leyland, BMW and many others participated in the event. Automotive lighting majors from India and abroad had enthusiastic participation at ISOL 2023. Minda, Lumax, Hella, Varroc, Neolite, KK lighting, Fiem, Lumileds are to name a few.

Event also had special participation from EV startups and road safety device manufacturers. This two days event included 34 technical papers presented by eminent speakers in six sessions, covering topics on intelligent automotive lighting, energy efficient lighting, lighting design and styling, lighting in road safety & ADAS, lighting for EVs, EMC challenges in lighting, futuristic trend and regulation in automotive lighting etc.

Each day of ISoL-2023, consisted of Panel Discussion amongst experts from OEMs and component manufacturers of automotive lights. The panel discussion on Day 1 explored the topic ‘Lighting & ADAS’ while the second panel discussed  ‘Lighting for EVs’. The event also covered distribution of awards to recognize ‘Design, Innovation and Excellence’ in the field of automotive lighting. The exposition at ISoL-2023 included more than 30 exhibitors showcasing their innovative products and services to demonstrate self-reliance, encourage designers and promote innovation in the automotive lighting industry.  The uniqueness of this event was track demonstrations highlighting the advancement made in automotive lighting technology.
