JBM Group partners with Keppel to drive sustainable energy transition

New Delhi: JBM Group, a USD $3.0 bn global Indian conglomerate with presence in key sustainability domains such as E-mobility, Renewables, Environment management, Green Manufacturing among others has entered into a strategic partnership with Singapore based, Keppel Ltd., a global asset manager and operator with strong expertise in sustainability related solutions spanning the areas of infrastructure, real estate and connectivity.

The partnership agreement signing was done at the 29th Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Partnership Summit 2024 in New Delhi, India. The MoU was signed in the presence of Mr Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Government of India by Mr. Nishant Arya, Vice Chairman, JBM Group and Ms. Cindy Lim, CEO, Keppel’s Infrastructure Division.
Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, said, “India and Singapore share a long-standing and robust partnership that was recently elevated to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Singapore in September 2024. This significant step enhances collaboration in sustainability, advanced manufacturing, digital technology and green energy.”

These collaborations align with India’s priorities, including the energy transition and the India Cooling Action Plan, fostering innovation and paving the way for economic growth and a sustainable future for both nations. This augurs well as our countries celebrate the 60 years of diplomatic relations in 2025.”
By way of this strategic partnership, JBM Group and Keppel, jointly aim to drive innovation for decarbonizing urban infrastructure, provide unique & customized solutions for rising demand in electro-mobility and electric-waste (e-waste) management and capture the burgeoning opportunities for more sustainable electricity in commercial and industrial sectors. Keppel brings to the partnership its leading-edge capabilities in integrated clean energy, electric vehicle (EV) charging and resource circularity solutions.

JBM Group will leverage its expertise in the electric vehicles, EV aggregates and key auto systems to jointly develop projects with Keppel focused on electro-mobility, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and e-waste solutions. Both the companies will also conduct feasibility studies and development for EV charging networks, electromobility hubs and resource recovery facilities, with the aim of driving a system-wide electrification of transport infrastructure.
